Doin' the Doo

...and No, I don't mean the x-games cool-guy drink.

I'm talking about the infamous idler shaft lever chain adjuster thingymerbob-or aka the "doohickey"

Kawasaki part No. 13168

This little piece (o' metal) is known to selfdestruct or rather justsnap from regular wear and tear.
No, it's not supposed to be that way, the stocker is just poorly manufactured.
If and when it breaks, metal parts hopefully find its way in the oily mess of the engine internals and not into any of the stuff that will cause very bad things to happen to, well, your engine.

So, as preventive maintainence, I, like many KLRistas, have decided to replace the stocker with this fine finely made alternative by Eagle Manufacturing & Engineering.

I sourced mine from TPI Motorcycle Parts which I recieved today.

Do I know what I'm doing? Yes and No.
